• BS Degree Civil Engineering
• 5+ years SUPERVISING design of foundations for heavy industrial process equipment
• Experience managing the construction of foundations for process equipment
• Experience interfacing with OEM equipment manufacturers
• Strong client interface, troubleshooting & problem-solving skills
• Strong communication and leadership skills

DESIRABLE: Metals industry experience (aluminum, steel); experience with EPC firm (such as Fluor).

*ABOUT THE PROJECT: This project is greenfield construction of a new, fully integrated aluminum mill on a 3,000-acre site in Bay Minette, AL. Fluor is the EPC responsible for the detailed design of the plant. This role will be based out of Fluor office located in Greenville, SC. There is a team of my clients (NOT FLOUR) engineers based at this location overseeing the design process. This role will oversee/supervise the design of concrete foundations for process equipment that will be installed in the plant. This person can work remotely, provided he/she is willing to travel to Greenville, SC as needed during the design phase. After the design phase is complete (approximately 12 months), the expectation is that this person would be available to work at the construction site in Bay Minette, AL managing the construction of these foundations. Total assignment term is estimated for 2+ years.

**Aluminum Mill process equipment includes Hot Mill & Cold Mill equipment and Finishing equipment (coating line, slitter, etc.).

***An on-site resource is preferred, and expenses will be paid (travel, lodging, meals). Client will accept a REMOTE worker who is willing to travel to Greenville, SC as needed.

JOB DESCRIPTION:
Supervise the detailed design for a large, complex industrial facility with a focus on concrete foundation design and construction for heavy, industrial process equipment. Will oversee & verify the work of the engineering consultant. Interface directly with the OEM equipment vendors to integrate, review & verify equipment drawings and other technical data. Act as a liaison between engineering consultant/owner and equipment vendors for troubleshooting & problem solving. At the conclusion of the design phase, the role will transition to the construction site where there will be responsibility for supervision and inspection of the work performed by the contractors building the foundations and installing the equipment supporting those activities at the site.
