System One is currently seeking a Civil Engineer III to work at one of our client sites in Plaquemines Parish, Louisiana. This is an exciting opportunity to work on one of the largest LNG projects in the US. Responsibilities: Perform Structural Engineering duties in the Management of the Project’s workforce, finances, and materials used on the specific project. Responsible for design and safety of temporary structures used during construction. Applying basic technical principles, theories, standards, and concepts in development of engineering design packages. Consider construction costs, government regulations, potential environmental hazards, and other factors in planning stages and risk analysis. Perform or oversee soil testing to determine the adequacy and strength of foundations. Test building materials, such as concrete, asphalt, or steel, for use in specific projects. Provide cost estimates for materials, equipment, or labor to determine a projects economic feasibility. Perform or oversee, surveying operations to establish reference points, grades, and elevations to guide construction. Present technical information to peers or other personnel for review, to implement operating procedures, and resolve system malfunctions. Independently evaluate, select, and apply standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria using judgment in making minor adaptations and modifications. Provide specific to discipline technical expertise to the degree of preparing and providing training for other personnel; both within the company and for the customer. Requirements: Bachelors Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering from a four-year college or university with focus in Structural Design Courses. Passed or plan to take Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam within six months of hire. 4+ years of experience required if you currently hold a PE 6+ years of experience required if you do not currently hold a PE Must have experience working in the Oil and Gas Industry Complex Problem Solving (STEM). Operation and Systems Analysis. Occasional periods of field/office work entailing travel. May be required to work in an office, as well as in a power plant environment. Preferred Requirements: Master’s Degree or equivalent. Professional Engineer (PE) License. Prefer Louisiana. STAAD analysis software experience.
