Iron County is looking to fill a Full-Time Victim Services Specialist position in the Iron County Childrens Justice Center.
JOB SUMMARY:
Performs a variety of complex clerical and secretarial duties designed to expedite the services and address the responsibilities of the Children's Justice Center (CJC) in Iron County and other assigned areas.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Graduation from an accredited college or university with Associate Degree (or equivalent) in related field with three (3) or more years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS
Must hold and maintain a valid State of Utah Driver License.
Must maintain compliance of Iron County and Cedar City vehicle policies - including maintaining an acceptable driving record.
Must be able to pass a criminal background check.
Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and maintain compliance of Iron County drug and alcohol policies and guidelines.
Attend any required training when needed and/or schedule
Knowledge of modern office practices and procedures; general law enforcement practices and procedures along with understanding of trial and court procedures; effective record keeping systems; legal resources and the Utah Code as it relates to categories of crimes and legal procedures; Skill in interpersonal communication and public relations; providing excellent customer service; word processing, data entry, and spreadsheet operations; operating office machines and equipment; managing stress and meeting deadlines; exercising initiative, independent judgment and resourcefulness in varying conditions; communicating and directing people in duress or crisis; basic mathematics and statistical reporting; Ability to follow directions given both verbally and in writing; prioritize and organize responsibilities; to learn and recommend new and improved procedures; maintain cooperative working relationships; maintain accuracy and attention to detail in work assignments; work unsupervised and accept responsibility for actions; communicate effectively both verbally and in writing; understand and follow through with civil processes; distill relevant and useful elements from vast amounts of information; understand and follow broad objectives and instructions; reach, comprehend and apply rules, regulations and procedures; maintain confidentiality while working with sensitive information;
