JOB SUMMARY:
The PCT Client Development Manager (CDM) is a highly visible, partner facing position that provides strategic and practical business development support across the Private Capital Transactions practice group and leads related industry initiatives working with attorneys across multiple practice groups. The CDM will lead and execute business development and marketing initiatives that help with market visibility and new business generation for the group and overall Private Equity Industry Group efforts. The BDM will accomplish this by working with existing client relationships, new pursuit targets, individual partner(s) plans and priorities, and collaborate with various internal departments, and business support as needed.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Business Development
- Work closely with the partners in supporting the growth of existing and targeted clients, including helping to identify the key objectives and supporting actions for the development of these relationships.
- Organize and actively participate in regular client and pursuit team meetings both as part of the smaller core client team with lead partners and as part of the fuller client team, including creating agendas, post meeting action items and facilitating follow up. Commission/conduct appropriate research in support of specific pitches or to enhance general overall knowledge of the client relationship or pursuit’s business.
- Provide regular pitch support on various new opportunities as they arise across the group, and assist attorneys in meeting preparation and post meeting follow-up.
- Support new and existing-client RFPs working with members of the Firm’s practice development, legal operations management and pricing teams as needed.
New Business Initiatives, Market Visibility and Knowledge Marketing
- Lead/Support implementation of various industry/practice initiatives that promote and enhance brand in the market. This includes, but is not limited to working with attorneys and members of the marketing communications team to project manage the production of: thought reports/articles by attorneys; service capabilities and new product development; industry updates; knowledge marketing initiatives that involve new product development
- Strategic review of industry conferences, partner placement and overall support, working with other firm departments as needed (i.e. Marketing, PR, Practice Development, etc.)
- Work with individual partners on specific business developments efforts as needed

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated track record of success, resulting impact and achieving results within a partnership environment. Must have executive level presence, a high degree of poise and presence with the ability to interact effectively, build relationships with several different constituents, and the ability to influence action and achieve results.
- Bachelor's degree
- Master of Business Administration degree (MBA), preferred but not required
- Senior professional experience with a minimum of eight (8) years of experience in business development within a large professional services firm
- Demonstrated knowledge of private equity industry is a plus
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Normal office environment; incumbent is expected to work the hours necessary to fulfill the responsibilities of the position. Incumbent is expected to work on-site three days per week.

The anticipated pay range for this role is $135,000 - $202,000, which represents our good faith and reasonable estimate of the starting salary range at the time of posting. In addition, this role is eligible for a discretionary bonus based on performance. The actual offered rate for this position will be determined based on job-related, non-discriminatory factors, including qualifications and experience, geographic location, education, external market data and consideration of internal equity.
