Southern Seven Health Department is seeking applications for a regular, full time Clinic Associate position that is based at the Alexander County Public Health Clinic in Cairo, Illinois. This position will also assist at the Pulaski County Public Health Clinic. This position does come with a benefit package, including vacation, personal, and sick time accrual, holidays, health and life insurance, and an employer sponsored cafeteria plan. This position provides clerical support services in a clinic setting.
Qualifications: The applicant must have at least a High School Diploma or GED. Preferences will be given to an applicant with coursework in a secretarial science field and/or previous office experience in a medical setting.
Pay Range: $13.00-$14.07
Job Duties:
- Serves as a receptionist; takes messages and greets the public in a polite and informative way.
- Answers the telephone in a prompt and professional manner and routes incoming calls to the appropriate individual.
- Works directly with clients in obtaining information to determine eligibility and certification for services.
- Schedules appointments and follow up visits.
- Coordinates routing of incoming mail.
- Performs keyboard data entry of client information.
- Maintains client files including filing duties.
- Follows all policies and procedures related to confidentiality and HIPAA regulations.
- Performs other duties as requested or assigned to meet the requirements of the agency.
The applicant selected for this will be required to pass a Basic Computer Skills Assessment.
