Overview:
Atlantic Health System is seeking a per diem Clinical Lab Assistant I for the Specimen Processing department at our Atlantic Consolidated Lab in Morris Plains lab to work varied shifts including weekends as needed.
Responsibilities:
- Performs accurate patient registration for outpatient laboratory specimen
- Demonstrates computer proficiency
- Assures proper collection, completion and reporting of tests ordered
- Reviews pending logs and investigates/resolves outstanding issues
- Reviews and orders send-out tests for reference laboratories
- Assists in the scheduling and training of team members within the department
- Investigates problems and missing specimen
Minimum Education:
- High School Diploma or GED required
Minimum Experience:
- 3 years of clinical experience preferred
