Responsible for innovation and end-to end launch of clinical systems products. The position will serve as a clinical systems subject matter expert ensuring the clinical systems offer optimal value to our clinicians and practices. Excellent communication, problem solving, and critical thinking is needed to adjust to the changing system environment. A lead liaison/coordinator to work with Specialty Medical Officers, Clinicians, Medical Directors, Practice Managers, and all practice employees at multiple levels. Experience in an Ambulatory/Hospital practice setting is required. On call 24/7 availability will be needed. Experience in NextGen or other Clinical Information Systems (i.e. Epic, Cerner, eCW) Word, Excel and Project will be necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as subject matter expert for assigned product an opportunity areas.
  • Work with internal and external customers to analyze needs and align the product roadmap with strategic goals leveraging the Agile SDLC process.
  • Assess value, develops use cases, and prioritizes stories, epics and themes to ensure work focuses on those with a maximum value that are aligned with product strategy.
  • Act as an ambassador for the product internally and externally and as a resource for queries related to the product.
  • Develop and maintain product documentation for roll-out and training of new functionalities.
  • Represent the business for the product, fostering strong relationships with key stakeholders to ensure that their views and requirements are captured in the product backlog.
  • Own the refinement of the application product backlog to ensure that the product team is delivering the right enhancements to drive consumer and business value.
  • Accountable for monitoring, optimization and enhancement of the configuration, features and functionalities related to the product.
  • Lead and participate with cross-functional teams during the entire lifecycle of product development, post-deployment, and production support.
  • Understand and advocate for the voice of the customer; oftentimes engaging them on a 1:1 basis.
  • Provide business context and clear functional and nonfunctional requirements for effective engineering delivery.
  • Monitor technical support systems for product improvement opportunities.
  • Perform training for interdepartmental team members and clinicians on product features and functionality.
  • Manages/monitors the on-call responsibility for clinicians after hours ensuring 24-hour support as needed.
  • Coordinates the facilitating testing and involving practices before version upgrades.
  • Collaborates with all departments to resolve issues in a professional and timely manner.
  • Provides prompt, courteous, professional, and accurate information in all communications in dealing with physicians and other departments.
  • Demonstrates a commitment to department objectives through consistent patterns of work behavior and positive representation.
  • Responds to the department needs by accepting additional assignments, which may or may not be related to the job's primary responsibilities to ensure the continuity of department services.
  • Responsible for following all facility, organization and department precautions and procedures in the performance of all job duties to ensure a safe work environment for self and others.
  • Maintains up to date compliance training as required.
  • Experience in Microsoft Office, Email, JIRA and Windows. (Excel, Word, Project, Powerpoint)

Qualifications

Education required:
  • Bachelor’s degree or university program certificate or equivalent; or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Clinical experience in an Ambulatory/Hospital practice setting.
Education preferred:
  • Current health care licensure. (RN or NNP)
Experience required:
  • Must have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in the implementation of clinical system in Ambulatory/Hospital based setting.
Experience preferred:
  • 5 years clinical/training experience in Ambulatory/Hospital setting.
Skills required:
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Computer literacy including Microsoft Office(Excel, Word, project, PowerPoint).
  • Implementation of systems in an Ambulatory/Hospital practice.
Skills preferred:
  • 5 years’ experience with clinical data system implementation
