Intake Clinician
Under the direction of the Director of Assessments and Referrals, the Intake Clinician is responsible for responding with appropriate guidance and support to those in crisis and seeking support with a mental health concern. The Intake Clinician is a flexible, creative worker, showing attention to detail and an ability to communicate within and outside the facility verbally and through written communication. The Intake Clinician role requires clinical knowledge, exceptional customer service skills, organizational skills and the ability to multitask in an acute admissions center setting. Performs other related duties as assigned or requested. This is a non-exempt position.

QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Training: Master’s prepared or Ph.D. from an accredited college or university in social work, psychology, counseling, marriage & family therapy, mental health, or a related field. Licensed in the state in which the hospital resides. Crisis management certification per hospital policy and standards required.
Experience: At least one year acute inpatient hospital experience. A minimum of one year direct clinical experience in a psychiatric or mental health setting, with direct experience in patient assessment, family motivation, treatment planning, and communication with external review organizations preferred.
