Job Title: Clubhouse Manager
Reports To: General Manager
Supervises: Maintenance Coordinator, Housekeeping and Facilities Staff
Collaborates with: Executive Chef, Director of Food and Beverage, Director of Marine Services

Pelican Isle Yacht Club is the Yacht Club of Choice in Southwest Florida. With approximately 450 Memberships and 190 Boat Slips as well as a rich offering of Lifestyle Programming and Amenities, we are recognized as the #7 Platinum Yacht Club in America and a Top 50 Platinum Yacht Club in the world. The Clubhouse Manager Position is a recently created position at PIYC. As our Membership continues to grow, so do our dining and lifestyle offerings. The Clubhouse Manager will work closely with all operational departments to facilitate a seamless Member Experience and efficient staff planning, scheduling, and execution of dining, events, and amenity services. The Clubhouse Manager will be integral to the International Worker (H2B Visa) Program for PIYC, and will be heavily involved in the recruiting, on-boarding, and training of all seasonal staff. The Clubhouse Manager will also be an active leader in the Club’s Food and Beverage Program, and collaborate with the Culinary, Event, and Service Teams with an emphasis on extraordinary events.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities (Clubhouse)

· Directly oversees the Maintenance, Cleaning, and General Upkeep of the Clubhouse and Grounds

· Supervises Maintenance and Housekeeping Staff

· Responsible for safety, compliance, and inspections as pertain to Clubhouse areas

· Ensures maintenance and proper management of all Club Amenity areas including Fitness Center, Pool and Spa, Tennis, Pickleball, Bocce, and Paddle Sport site

· Develop and oversee a routine maintenance and service schedule for Club Mechanicals and Systems

· Ensures security of Clubhouse and oversees Key Control Program

· Engage vendors or contractors as required for more complex Clubhouse Projects

· Understand and ensures functionality of Club Audio Visual Systems and “Smart Systems”

· Plans, manages, and oversees budget and forecast for Clubhouse and Amenities

· Advises General Manager on daily and long-term matters pertaining to Facility Maintenance

· Participates in developing and maintaining a Capital Reserve Plan along with the CFO and GM

Primary Duties and Responsibilities (Food and Beverage)

· Collaborates with Executive Chef and Food and Beverage Director to plan, supervise, and execute all Food and Beverage functions, including, but not limited to: a la carte lunch and dinner, Club-hosted Special Events,
Member-hosted Special Events, other private events, Pool Service, Backwater Cruises, Dine at Home and
Catering. This role will have an emphasis on events and amenity related dining

· Is the primary planner and leader for event logistics and F&B Equipment Management

· Conducts regular Banquet Event Order (BEO) meetings with key staff to ensure effective planning, logistics and communications for all events

· Works with Culinary and Service teams to ensure seamless F&B support for all lifestyle and activity-related
dining

· Looks for creative opportunities to enhance Member experiences

· Synchronizes event planning and execution across Culinary, Service and Event teams

· Works closely with Food and Beverage Director to ensure a leadership presence at the Club during dining and banquet service

· Engages with Members in a professional and welcoming manner; ensures a high level of responsiveness and conducts service recovery or issue resolution when appropriate

· Contributes to Food and Beverage Budget and Forecast management and planning

Primary Duties and Responsibilities (Club Amenities)

· Works closely with Director of Marine Services, Communication & Lifestyle Coordinator, Member Services Coordinator and Maintenance Coordinator to ensure proper scheduling, set-up, cleaning and maintenance of all Clubhouse Areas that support Lifestyle Activities, Backwater Cruises, Meetings, and Games

· Train and schedule supplemental staff during peak season to assist with Member Services and Club Amenities

· Work with Member Activity Coordinators for Organized Games, Sports, and Activities; communicate with Department Heads for required support

· Directly oversees maintenance of courts and equipment availability for Bocce and Pickleball Programs

· Responsible for the development, scheduling, and maintenance of the Club Paddle Sport Program and works closely with Director of Marine Services to ensure successful “on the water” programs

· Plans, manages, and oversees budget and forecast for Amenities and associated activities

· Works with outside vendors and instructors as required for Amenities and associated activities

General Position Requirements

· Oversee the logistics of the Club International Worker Program; work closely with Department Heads,
Immigration Firm, CFO, and GM through all phases of recruiting, training, on-boarding, scheduling and off-boarding each year. Continue to build this program to best meet the needs of the Club

· Facilitate cross-departmental coordination to ensure most effective and efficient planning, staffing, and
execution for all Club functions and activities

· Evaluate staffing requirements and make recommendations or staffing adjustments based on needs of Club

· Participate actively in all Member Survey, Member Feedback and Planning Cycle efforts

Professional Skill and Skill Development Expectations

· Demonstrate superior computer skills to include basic trouble shooting and command of all
Microsoft Applications

· Provide analysis and apply critical thinking and problem solving skills

· Understand Club Budget and Finances

· Understand and utilize Jonas Club Software

· Gain a familiarity and operational fluency in Members First Club Software

· Understand other departmental tasks and requirements

· Participate in professional organizations and seek to understand relevant Club trends

· Seek opportunities for continued education and development in new areas

The Ideal Candidate

· Is an engaged and confident leader; enjoys coaching, teaching, mentoring and is also comfortable developing and correcting performance when required

· Has a passion for Member Services; takes great pleasure in creating an exceptional experience

· Has a Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Business Management or Hospitality Management

· Has a 5-7 years of progressive development in Private Club or high end Food and Beverage Operations

· Has a strong knowledge of food, wine, and current industry trends

· Is familiar with Facilities Maintenance Operations or has experience overseeing maintenance and housekeeping

· Has experience managing contracts and vendors

· Has excellent communication skills

· Thrives in a team environment and enjoys collaborative work styles

· Is a proactive and engaged problem solver, follows through to task completion

· Maintain positive and upbeat leadership with co-workers and vendors

· Can adapt to an ever-changing environment easily
