Home Instead® CAREGivers provide a variety of non-medical services that allow seniors to remain in their homes. These services are meant to enhance the quality of life for seniors. Home Instead® CAREGivers help clients and their families meet the challenges of aging with dignity, pride, care, and compassion. The Rapid Response CNA role is fast paced and requires flexibility to assist with last-minute shift openings. When not on shift, this position will assist with office administrative support.

Overview:

  • This is an hourly position Monday through Friday. Guaranteed 40 hours, not exempt from overtime.
  • This position requires the exercise of discretion and independent judgment regarding the significant matters of client's and CAREGiver's.
  • Essential job functions require standing, walking, bending, twisting, kneeling, reaching, pushing, pulling, carrying and lifting up to 25 pounds.
  • Driving up to 30 miles and then reimbursement kicks in after the 30 miles

Objectives:

  • Focus on customer service and ensure quality interactions with both external and internal audiences.
  • Be ready to accept the assignment when called and maintain a positive attitude about where you are sent and the clients you will serve.
  • Be a leader and set an example for CAREGivers in the field.

Reporting Relationship:

  • Staffing Department Managers

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Reflect the values of Compass Enterprise d.b.a. Home Instead® in all interactions with CAREGivers and clients, both current and prospective.

·Provide Companionship & Home Helper services which could include:

o Companionship and conversation

o Providing stabilization and assistance with walking

o Preparing meals and cleaning up meal-related items

o Providing medication reminders and appointment reminders

o Performing light housekeeping tasks (dusting, vacuuming, making beds, changing linens, cleaning bathrooms, kitchens, etc.)

o Washing and ironing laundry

o Running errands

o Accompanying clients to appointments

·Provide Personal Care services which could include:

o Assisting with bathing

o Assisting with grooming

o Assisting with toileting and incontinence issues

·Provide Specialized services which could include:

o Advanced Alzheimer’s/Dementia Care

o Hospice Care

•Understand that there may be times when starting earlier than 7am or staying later than 5pm may be requested and you are expected to remain flexible for these shifts

  • During shift hours, it is expected that you answer your phone and or call back within 15 minutes. **It is your responsibility to ensure your phone is charged
  • Nurture a positive working relationship with CAREGivers, Office Staff, and Clients.

· Assist with office administrative tasks in the office when not on shift

  • Detect and resolve problems early that could lead to poor client service or low job satisfaction.
