**Full time or PRN. 7am-7pm OR 7pm-7am. Great schedule with days off during the week and every other weekend off.**

Our healthcare organization is looking for a Nursing Assistant to assess patients and provide basic medical treatments. As a Nursing Assistant, you will be responsible for providing direct patient care and monitoring patients to ensure the recovery process is going smoothly. This means staying on top of a patient’s physical and mental state by recording symptoms, vital signs and general habits. In addition, you should be very good at keeping yourself up-to-date on medical procedures. Since this is a fast-paced environment, we need someone who is detail-oriented and can work as a team while demonstrating great attention to detail and communication skills. The goal is to help patients recover quickly and to care for our long term residents.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain patient dignity by keeping call lights and bedpans full of bodily fluids at minimum levels at all times.
- Supervise, feed and dress invalid or helpless individuals.
- Clean up vomit, blood and urine spills.
- Assist patients in and out of beds, wheelchairs, baths and toilets.
- Encourage patients to perform self-help tasks and activities such as eating, bathing and dressing themselves.
- Monitor vital signs (blood pressure, temperature etc.) and report any abnormalities to the doctor or nurse.
- Report any unusual behavior to the nurse.
- Keep data records for patients.
- Assist in carrying out activities of daily living.

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
