Job description
The TEMP CNA Instructor will provide classroom instruction and clinical supervision for Peterson Health employees chosen to go through the CNA program in conjunction with Alamo College. They must be approved through HHSC and Alamo Colleges. With the support of the Nurse Education Coordinator and Nurse Educator, the Instructor will secure all necessary equipment for both the classroom and lab required for instruction.
Required Education:
LVN education; complete a course focused on teaching adult students or have experience in teaching adult students or supervision of nurse aides.
Preferred Education:
ADN Education or higher
Required Technical Skills:
Clinical proficiency, teaching or training experience, excellent interpersonal skills
Required Licensure/Registration/Certification:
Licensed nurse, BLS
Preferred Licensure/Registration/Certification:
RN
Required Experience:
1 year work experience in long-term care facility; teaching adult learners
Preferred Experience:
Previous experience teaching CNA classes
