Door Manufacturer is seeking a CNC Programmer to join their team**This is a union shop, 30 day contract before hire permanent)

The person for this role will review sales orders and program the machines from a computer. Will be required to communicate with the CNC operators on the floor to ensure proper coding has been completed.

Job Description:

• Working with NDS ERP system to Schedule and Assign jobs to machines, Manage Inventory, Design and Track Doors.
• Optimizing machining process by simulating the machining and making changes to tool parameters using 3D modelling software.
• Developing a Time study model to optimize manufacturing process and to predict time taken for machining using Excel.
• Reviewing 2D templates of door hardware encompassing of Hinges, Exit devices, Locks, Door bottoms, Latches.
• Validating tickets from customers and collaborating with sales & shop floor, thereby reducing mistakes in purchasing order.
