JOB DESCRIPTION: CNC Machinist

REPORTS TO: Production Manager

SHIFT: 1st and 2nd shifts needed, but hours are flexible on both shifts

PAY RATE: $18.00/Hour to $30.00/Hour based on experience

SUMMARY OF JOB DUTIES:

• Perform machine setup, operation, and first article inspections on multi-axis lathe or Swiss machines. Machines include DMG Mori NLX2500 CNC Lathes, Tornos Deco 10, EVO Deco, Citizen R04, K16 and L20, and Tsugami BW129Z, SS32
• Troubleshoot maintenance and quality issues on the machine
• Assist in meeting production schedules by producing parts as required by customers
• Assist in meeting quality requirements
• Make recommendations for improvement as it relates to production and quality
• Communicate problems and procedural issues with appropriate supervision and departments
• Assist in training other machinists as needed
• Verify accuracy and completeness of all paperwork

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum HS diploma or GED
• Minimum 2 years in a CNC machining environment
• Demonstrated experience using microscopes, calipers, micrometers, weights, optical comparators and other inspection devices
• Ability to read, write and communicate effectively with all other personnel
• Ability to follow directions and perform complex duties
• Good hand and eye coordination
• Good manual dexterity
• Good interpersonal skills

Pay: $18.00 - $30.00 per hour
