This position is based in Grand River, OH, 30 minutes east of Cleveland.

Brief Description

Analyze job orders, drawings, blueprints, specifications, design data in order to calculate part dimension

Create, modify, and optimize CNC programs using Gibbs CAD/CAM software.

Update CNC programs and manufacturing processes to help optimize machining lead times.

Use a variety of precision measuring instruments.

Generate setup instructions and machine tool lists for operators.

Recommend tooling applications and operational sequence to assist in developing practical programming for new and unusual machining requirements.

May set-up for and instruct Machine Operators of lower classification.

Recognize, report, and correct errors.

Other duties as assigned.

Work Environment:
Work consists mostly in a general office setting with some work in the machine shop. Staff members will need to be able to work while standing, sitting, bending, and climbing. Staff members will be occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds.

Job Requirements:
  • High school diploma or its equivalent
  • Accredited apprenticeship or equivalent training (2 year degree)
  • Knowledge of machine shop practices, techniques, operations
  • Basic math, logical reasoning, and problem solving skills
  • 5+ years of CNC Programming Experience
  • 3+ years of CAD experience
