Job Description


The Collections Analyst will be responsible for reviewing orders for release, being an expert on a group of customers assigned to them, follow up with customers for past due invoices, serve as the primary contact for accounting questions that the customer might have, work within the customer portals as necessary, provide reporting on Accounts Receivable past due balances, work with the EXL team in India, and answer internal questions from Customer Service and Sales.

Essential Responsibilities:

Finance and Accounting Leadership:

  • Review orders that are put on hold to determine if they should be released, or if the customer needs to make payments on past due balances before the order is sent for production.
  • Follow up with customers on past due balances, and meet departmental goals on past due Accounts Receivable.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all accounting questions that the customer might have.
  • Partner with EXL to collection deductions, and answer questions about cash application as necessary (third party accounting provider)
  • Become an expert in the customer portals that are assigned. Many customers communicate only in a portal environment and each one is different.
  • Provide reporting on Accounts Receivable balances as required and requested.
  • Partner with internal customers as needed (i.e. work with Customer Service on deductions, and the sales team on past due balances).
  • Assist with audit requests and questions related to the Accounts Receivable area.

Qualifications


The desired candidate will have strong mathematical and analytical skills, be proficient in word processing and spreadsheet software. The candidate will have excellent oral and written communication skills and will have the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.

  • College degree or equivalent work experience required.
  • Previous collections experience preferred
  • SAP experience is preferred, but not required.
  • Manufacturing A/R experience in a large company environment is preferred.

Compensation

The position has a compensation package inclusive of base, bonus (if eligible), benefits, 401k contribution, time off, recognition awards and more. This hourly range is $19.00-$24.00.
