The Collections Manager is responsible for oversight of the lifecycle of the collections period with all customers. The Collections Manager will be measured based on pacing percentage, collection efficiency percentage, and total customers brought current.


A successful candidate will be a person who has strong leadership with collections and finance experience. They will be competent in the collections process and how to align customers who have fallen off their payment schedules. They will be excellent in negotiation and selling skills and is able to work with many types of people.

Responsibilities:


  • Manage performance appraisal and compensation processes for staff as required
  • Training and developing talent to maximize collection results. Call monitoring and coaching.
  • Works collaboratively with other leaders to see how company can continue to evolve process and policies to meet company objectives
  • Drive transformation in collections and servicing to increase efficiency through automation where it makes sense.
  • Conduct audits as needed to validate work and processes.
  • Function as second voice when needed on calls and/or handles


Qualifications:

  • Exceptional conflict resolution, negotiation, and objection handling skills.
  • Two years supervisory experience or 3 years’ experience in a related industry which has a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to manage up and down building strong relationships throughout the organization.


Education:


  • High school diploma (finance degree preferred)
