Job description

This is a family-run business with more than 35 years of experience in the aftermarket parts business. We are a distributor of auto body parts in the New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut areas. We sell aftermarket parts such as hoods, fenders, bumpers, headlights, grilles, radiators, condensers, etc.

The Collections Supervisor is responsible for providing excellent service to our customers by planning, assisting, and coordinating the functional operations of the Company's collection activities. They will be responsible for developing, managing, and training new and existing staff, to ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction and increase productivity.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily responsibilities of the department.
• Advise staff regarding the handling of transactions.
• Serve as an advisor and escalation point for credit and collections activities.
• Resolve difficult repayment issues with delinquent customers.
• Train new and existing staff as needed.

• Process credit card payments over the telephone or at the counter.

• Print and review aging reports on a weekly basis.
• Follow up with each driver regarding the status of payment collections from customers.
• Review and update current aging reports for discrepancies and finance charges.
• Provide necessary supporting documents for audits and reviews.
• Develop and retain quality team members.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Strong supervisory skills
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills as well as the ability to maintain professionalism under pressure
• Great organizational skills, accuracy, and attention to detail
• Proficiency with MS Excel and accounting software

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $18.00 per hour
