We are looking for a friendly Patient Care Coordinator to join our growing team! Although experience in the medical/optical industry is a plus, it is not necessary. We will provide on-the-job training for the candidate willing to learn.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Acknowledge and greets patients, customer, and vendors as they walk into the store, in a friendly and welcoming manner
- Answers and responds to telephone inquiries in a professional and timely manner
- Schedules appointments
- Gathers patients and insurance information
- Verifies and enters patient demographics into EMR ensuring all fields are complete
- Verifies vision and medical insurance information and enters into EMR
- Maintains a clear understanding of insurance plans and is able to communicate insurance information to the patients
- Pulls schedules to ensure insurance eligibility prior to patient appointment and ensures files are complete
- Prepare insurance claims and run reports to ensure all charges are billed and filed
- Print and prepare forms for patients visit
- Collects and documents all charges, co-pays and payments into EMR
- Allocates balances to insurance as needed
- Maintains a clean workspace at all times
- Performs other duties as needed and as assigned by manager

Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Basic computer literacy
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
- Must be able to maintain patient and practice confidentiality
Pay Range:
Hourly pay rate: $14.77 to $18.00 depending on experience
