Position Summary

Reporting to the Senior Vice President – Private Label, The Director Commercial & Customer Service will be responsible for leading the execution of the business strategy for the Nuts Private Label Business. This position will create an inclusive environment that ensures the customers are satisfied and the team is supported. The Director Commercial & Customer Service will be responsible for the training, engagement, and on-going success of the Sales and Customer Support team.

The Director will work with cross functional teams, including supply chain, sales, and operations, to improve operational efficiency, increase market share, develop new products, and ensure profitability of the portfolio. This position will also be responsible for special projects as needed by the business.

The ideal candidate should have an entrepreneurial mindset to grow the existing business and expand the size of the ofi Nuts Private portfolio. The ability to work well within a team as well as individually will be required. They should be approachable by ofi employees, as well as customers. The ability to multitask and work well under pressure with many competing demands will be required for success in this position.

Position Responsibilities

  • Work with product line to execute the US Private Label strategy for all nuts with inputs from Sales, Supply Chain, Finance and other teams.
  • Conduct feasibility and development of new products, line-extensions, margin enhancement, and cost-reduction initiatives. Make business case and work with Business team to implement these initiatives.
  • Create, implement, and enforce Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) including but not limited to A/R (Accounts Receivable), contract drag, customer scorecards, aging stock, complaint tracking and resolution and vendor relations.
  • Improve customer service by studying, evaluating, and re-designing processes. Train the Customer Service team on program and policy changes.
  • Track slow moving and tight SKUs to enable appropriate follow up by the sales team to modify buyer behavior.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree is required. Majors in Business Administration, Food Science or Engineering is preferred.
  • Seven (7) years previous work experience in product/brand management, operations, sales/ business development is required.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and interpersonal skills to effectively work with external customers and colleagues at ofi is required. Ability to communicate effectively with Leadership is required.
  • Ability to work with multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment is required.
  • Demonstrated analytic and problem-solving capabilities are required. Ability to draw conclusions and provide business insight from working with multiple sets of data as well as when there are significant data gaps will be required.
  • Proficient computer skills are required. Previous experience working with Microsoft office and SAP is preferred.
  • Ability and willingness to travel 20 - 30% is required.
