Applicants with previous experience in manual labor positions, such as traveling technicians, are encouraged to apply. Previous pool cleaning experience is not required, but applicants must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, as the position is labor-intensive.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in one or more of the following trades: electrician, HVAC technician, carpenter, plumber, welder, irrigation, mechanic, painter, or pest control.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

Transferable Skills:

  • Attention to detail: You have experience in a trade that requires a high level of attention to detail, such as electrician, plumber, painter, or carpenter, and can apply that attention to detail to maintaining a clean and safe swimming pool environment.
  • Problem-solving: As an HVAC technician, irrigation technician, or mechanic, you have experience troubleshooting and finding solutions to complex problems. You can use those problem-solving skills to diagnose and fix issues with pool equipment.
  • Safety: As a welder or pest control expert, you have experience working with hazardous materials and adhering to safety standards. You can use those safety skills to ensure a safe work environment when working with pool chemicals and equipment.

Responsibilities:

  • Clean up to 15 pools per day, including vacuuming, brushing, and netting
  • Clean filters and add chemicals to maintain proper water chemistry
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with pool equipment, including pumps and heaters
  • Communicate effectively with clients and address their pool maintenance needs
  • Maintain accurate records and logs of pool cleanings and chemical treatments

Work Schedule:

The starting rate for the Helper position is $20 per hour, Monday through Friday, and occasionally Saturday. We will provide training and a work truck. Employees will receive regular raises, benefits (excluding health insurance), and advancement opportunities.

Career Advancement:

The Helper position will transition into a Monday through Saturday cleaning position when one becomes available. At that time, the pay rate will change, and the number of hours worked per day will vary based on the speed and efficiency at which you work. You can start work as early as sunrise but not later than 9:30 am. Within a few months, you should be able to average about $24 per hour. With hard work and efficiency, long-term employees have the potential to earn more than $30 per hour.

Pool Cleaners who demonstrate exceptional skills and work ethic can be promoted to Repair Technicians. Repair Technicians are paid between $25 and $35 per hour and work 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday. With further hard work, dedication, and expertise, Repair Technicians can be promoted to Supervisors. As a Supervisor, you will have the opportunity to manage a team and oversee the daily operations of the business.

We are excited to offer this opportunity to join our team as a Pool Cleaner Helper. Our company values hard work, dedication, and teamwork, and we provide a supportive environment for our employees to grow and advance in their careers. We are committed to maintaining a safe and enjoyable swimming experience for our clients, and we look forward to welcoming a new member to our team who shares that commitment.
