Based in our Boulder, CO location, you will provide coordination and leadership to craft and implement a strategic sourcing strategy which delivers competitive cost and meets quality, speed, and flexibility requirements. Develop and implement supplier metrics focused on improving supplier performance regarding lead-time, quality, OTD, and compliance. Understand cost drivers and supply sources within assigned commodities.
This role represents supply chain in support of Electronics strategic sourcing initiatives. We are in search of a Supply Chain professional with Project Management experience related to electro-mechanical assemblies. AS A COMMODITY MANAGER, YOU WILL:
- Communicate internally and externally the general strategic direction of the organization and how specific suppliers and commodities align with that strategy
- Lead the supply chain and strategic sourcing activities
- Coordinate supply improvement projects with sustaining engineering and lead project review meetings
- Consistently improve supplier performance in terms of delivery to ensure global supply chain networks to meet operational and sales needs
- Drive cost savings and trade working capital improvements (DPO/Inventory) through negotiations, eSourcing, and other activities related to supplier selection and short/long-term strategies
- Lead reviews with suppliers applying the supplier metrics and implement programs to drive improvements in quality, delivery, cost, risk management, technology, and commercial terms
- Support preparation for Profit Reviews, Presidents Councils, and Perfect Execution reviews
- Ensure tracking and monitor is in place for suppliers with performance issues. Drive internal and external accountability for improvement opportunities.
- Lead projects related to assigned commodities, suppliers, logistics, etc. to improve overall supply chain key performance indicators
- Run strategic operations and supply chain projects and initiatives as needed

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS:
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business, or engineering
- 5 years’ experience in strategic sourcing or technical equivalent
- Requires strong project management, organizational, communication, and data analyzing skills
- Outstanding strategic agility and business insight
- Strong PowerPoint and Excel analysis skills including use of advanced financial functions and pivot tables
- Legal authorization to work in the United States - Sponsorship will not be provided for this position
PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS:
- Professional certification (C.P.M. or APICS)
- Engineering degree OR technical background
- MBA or graduate degree
Our compensation philosophy is simple: we pay a competitive base salary, within the local market in which we operate, and reward performance during our annual merit review process. In accordance with Colorado EPEWA, the salary/pay range for this role is $94,200-$150,500 annually commensurate with the skills, talent, capabilities, and experience each candidate brings to a role.
Flexible Work Schedule - Remote Work Option and Core Hours:
This role has the flexibility of a remote work option up to three days a week and a core hour schedule. You can choose to flex your start and stop times given you are working during the core hours of 9:00am - 3:00pm. Our teams work together to ensure our chosen work schedules enable our creativity and productivity as we serve the needs of our customers.
