Communications Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Communications Specialist to join the AJR Media Group team in our Spring, Texas (just North of Houston) office. The ideal candidate will be a creative and results-driven professional with a passion for developing engaging and effective communications. The Communications Specialist will work closely with our clients and internal teams to create compelling marketing collateral, newsletters, presentations, website content, social media posts and other content as necessary. This role requires strong writing and editing skills, attention to detail, and initiative.

Main Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement communication strategies that align with both the company and our clients' goals and objectives.
• Design engaging content for newsletters, website content, articles, marketing collateral, presentations and social media posts – to include copy, graphics and visuals.
• Build & execute newsletter campaigns and manage mailing lists.
• Manage website content and updates, to include copy and images/graphics, maintaining SEO best practices.
• Manage social media accounts, execute social media campaigns and create compelling content that drives engagement and growth for the company and our clients.
• Design, develop and implement website content that is optimized for search engines.
• BaCollaborate with internal teams to ensure consistent messaging and branding across all communication channels.
• Review, proof and edit content created by clients or other team members.
• Manage and organize creative assets.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, PR or related field.
• Minimum 2 years experience in communications or related field.
• Strong writing skills and experience developing content for various communication channels.
• Proficiency in social media management and graphic design.
• Experience creating newsletters (using email platforms), marketing collateral, and presentations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft and Adobe products, including PowerPoint and Photoshop.
• Highly organized and detail oriented.
• Strong time management skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment with quickly shifting priorities and deadlines.
• Understanding of and ability to interface with websites, social media tools and other technologies.
• Excellent people skills and ability to work collaboratively with clients and internal teams.
• Knowledge of SEO best practices and experience optimizing website content for search engines.
• Demonstrates a commitment to continuous learning and keeping up-to-date with the ever-evolving communication landscape and emerging platforms.
• Demonstrates a proactive approach and takes pride in delivering high-quality work.
