Community Associate/Reception - Part Time (Weekend)

The Community Associate provides general reception and clerical support for the Health Services Department. The incumbent interacts with residents, family members and outside medical providers.
Weekends- Sat. and Sun - flexible hours

Primary Responsibilities:
- Responds to residents’ questions, concerns and needs in a pleasant and warm fashion.
- Politely greets visitors and assists them with their questions and requests.
- Provides clerical tasks to include word processing support.
- Answers phones appropriately and routes calls to appropriate party or takes accurate messages.
- Monitors pull cord and fire alarm panels.
- Uses radio to respond to pull cord alarms, smoke alarms and call lights.
- Processes resident mail and newspaper delivery.
- Assists in managing staffing.
- Updates master forms book and maintains complete and current availability of necessary forms.
- Completes various audits.
- Schedules appointments and arranges transportation for residents.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
- High school graduate or GED One year clerical experience
- General computer knowledge and typing skills.
- Ability to access and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Exercise good judgment.
- Ability to learn new procedures and methods quickly.
- Ability to produce accurate work in a timely manner.
- Ability to set priorities and multi task.
- Regular, predictable, and dependable attendance.
- Effective English communications skills both verbal and written.
