Community School Coordinator-Edison Elementary
Job description
The Community School Coordinator has the general responsibility to assist the Community School Director (CSD) in the planning, implementing, evaluating, and delivery of a broad range of engagements and programs for students and families at Edison Elementary. Engagements range from working to meet individual student/family needs to school wide events.
The Community School Coordinator is responsible for building relationships with students, families, and community partners. The development, coordination, and oversight of all out-of-school time activities including assuring the safety, supervision and security of all participating students and out-of-school time program providers is a primary focus. The Community School Coordinator will be the primary point of contact for students, families and program providers/facilitators during activities taking place out-of-school time. The Community School Director and Edison Elementary administrators will be available for consultation.
The Community School Coordinator will also support families with the connection to basic needs, including managing the Community Pantry and assisting with food distributions. The Community School Coordinator plays an integral role in Edison’s communication strategy ranging from individual outreach calls to managing various social media platforms. Data drives decision making and the Community School Coordinator will support the CSD in data collection, analysis and utilization.
This position is part-time, temporary position which will run until June 30, 2023.
Candidates must be available to work Monday through Friday between the hours of 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. Some later evening and weekend hours maybe required based on programming needs.
