Job Summary:

As an Aqualani Maui-Based Concierge, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and creating unforgettable experiences for guests at our luxury resort in Maui. You will serve as a knowledgeable and resourceful guide, assisting guests with a wide range of inquiries, reservations, and recommendations to enhance their stay and ensure their satisfaction. Your role will be crucial in delivering a personalized and memorable vacation for our esteemed guests.

Responsibilities:

1. Guest Services: Offer warm and professional greetings to guests, anticipating and exceeding their needs and expectations. Provide a friendly, informative, and personalized service to enhance their overall experience.

2. Concierge Assistance: Assist guests with a variety of requests, including dining reservations, transportation arrangements, activity recommendations, spa appointments, and other services tailored to their preferences.

3. Local Knowledge: Possess extensive knowledge about Maui's attractions, cultural events, outdoor activities, landmarks, and local hidden gems. Share insights and recommendations to help guests make informed decisions and create memorable experiences.

4. Reservation Management: Utilize reservation systems and tools to make and manage reservations, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail. Coordinate with various departments to fulfill guest requests promptly.

5. Problem Solving: Handle guest complaints, concerns, and inquiries in a professional and efficient manner. Resolve issues effectively and ensure guest satisfaction, escalating matters when necessary.

6. Communication: Maintain open and clear communication channels with guests, colleagues, and other departments to ensure smooth coordination and seamless service delivery.

7. Upselling and Promotion: Identify opportunities to upsell resort services, amenities, and experiences to enhance guest satisfaction and maximize revenue. Promote special events, packages, and activities to increase guest engagement.

8. Relationship Building: Establish and foster positive relationships with local vendors, excursion providers, and service partners to obtain exclusive offers and provide tailored recommendations for guests.

9. Administrative Tasks: Complete necessary administrative duties, including documenting guest interactions, updating guest profiles, preparing reports, and handling financial transactions.

10. Training and Development: Stay updated on resort offerings, local attractions, and industry trends through continuous learning and attend training sessions to enhance your skills and knowledge.

Requirements:

- High school diploma or equivalent; a bachelor's degree in hospitality or related field is preferred.

- Proven experience in a similar customer service role, preferably in a luxury hotel or resort setting.

- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage and connect with guests from diverse backgrounds.

- Exceptional organizational and time management abilities to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.

- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations.

- Extensive knowledge of Maui's attractions, local culture, and outdoor activities.

- Proficiency in using reservation systems, MS Office, and other relevant software.

- Flexibility to work in shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

- Fluency in English is required, and additional languages are a plus.
