Configuration Management Specialist
Cepeda Systems and Software Analysis, a rapidly growing small company in Huntsville, AL, is currently seeking a Configuration Management Specialist with Physical and Functional Configuration Audit experience to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the configuration of hardware-in-the-loop (HWIL) systems, ensuring that the system is properly configured and maintained in accordance with program requirements. The candidate will be responsible for conducting Physical and Functional Configuration Audits to ensure proper configuration control of the HWIL system.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Develop and maintain a configuration management plan for the HWIL system
- Establish and maintain the configuration baseline for the HWIL system
- Conduct Physical and Functional Configuration Audits to ensure proper configuration control of the HWIL system
- Perform configuration audits and track configuration changes
- Ensure all hardware, software, and documentation changes are properly documented, controlled, and approved
- Manage and control the configuration of HWIL test setups, including facilities, test equipment, and test articles
- Develop and maintain configuration management tools, processes, and procedures
- Coordinate with other functional groups to ensure proper configuration control of interfaces and dependencies
- Ensure compliance with government and industry standards, regulations, and procedures
- Participate in the design and implementation of new configuration management processes and tools
- Analyze and report on configuration management metrics
Requirements and Qualifications:
- US Citizenship required
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in configuration management of avionics HWIL systems
- Experience with Physical and Functional Configuration Audits
- Experience with configuration management tools such as DOORS, ClearCase, and Git.
- Strong knowledge of configuration management principles, processes, and tools
- Familiarity with government and industry standards, regulations, and procedures such as MIL-STD-973 and ISO 10007
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
