This is not a State of Delaware merit position. This is a contractual position with the opportunity to work long term.

The Conservation Registration & Licensing Technician (CRLT) position provides critical services to the Division of Fish & Wildlife by processing boat registrations and commercial fishing licenses that generate revenue used to support programs engaged in the conservation, protection, development and utilization of Delaware's land and water resources and waterway management. The CRLT is responsible for reviewing and processing registration and license applications and issuing registrations and licenses.

JOB DUTIES

  • Reviews and processes registration and license applications.
  • Utilizes electronic systems to issue registrations and licenses.
  • Utilizes computerized databases.
  • Provides information and guidance to applicants.
  • Ensures appropriate notices and/or forms are issued to applicants.
  • Prepares summaries and reports.
  • Collects, records and deposits collected fees.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Three months experience in document processing which includes: reviewing and evaluating documents for completeness and conformity with laws, rules, regulations, standards, policies, and procedures; working with applicants to ensure complete and accurate application information; interpreting applicable laws, regulations, and procedures; and tracking and monitoring application workflow.
  • Three months experience in recording keeping.
  • Knowledge of using an automated information system to enter, update, modify, delete, retrieve/inquire and report on application and revenue data.
  • Knowledge of customer service such as providing prompt, accurate and courteous service to customers seeking information or assistance.
  • Three months experience in document processing which includes: reviewing and evaluating documents for completeness and conformity with laws, rules, regulations, standards, policies, and procedures; working with applicants to ensure complete and accurate application information; interpreting applicable laws, regulations and procedures; and tracking and monitoring application workflow.
  • Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Kent Conservation District does not provide sponsorship for H1B Visas.

BENEFITS

The Kent Conservation District offers a comprehensive benefit package including 37.5 hours work week with flexible scheduling options; 15 paid vacation days the first year; 9 paid holidays a year; and 15 paid sick leave days per year. Pension and health insurance are also included in the benefit. Direct Deposit of paychecks will be required as a condition of employment for new employees.
