Construction Apprentice

Job Summary:
The Construction Apprentice will work under the supervision of the Team Lead and learn on- the-job skills and knowledge in various areas of construction. The apprentice will assist in the construction, renovation, and maintenance of buildings and other infrastructure projects. The apprentice will gain experience and training in various trades, such as carpentry, masonry, tiling, plumbing, and general labor.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the construction of buildings and other infrastructure projects.
  • Learn and practice the proper use of hand and power tools.
  • Follow instructions and work under the supervision of experienced tradespeople.
  • Operate construction equipment, as directed and supervised.
  • Follow safety regulations and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Assist in measuring, cutting, and fitting materials to ensure accurate specifications and layouts.
  • Clean and maintain tools, equipment, and job site.
  • Attend and participate in training sessions, as required.
  • Perform other related duties, as assigned.

Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. (Still reach out if currently in school)
Good physical fitness and ability to perform manual labor.
Ability to work in a team environment.
Willingness to learn and follow instructions.
Strong work ethic, reliability, and punctuality.
Basic math and measurement skills.
Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
Valid driver's license (preferred).

This is an entry-level position that provides an opportunity for career development in the construction industry. The apprentice will have the opportunity for increased pay and duties as they become proficient in their skills. This position requires a commitment to learning, hard work, and a desire to become a skilled tradesperson.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift

  • Coeur d'Alene, ID: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

License/Certification:

  • Driver's License (Preferred)
