Summary: Coordinates and ensures that construction loan processing, closings, and draws are complete, timely, and within Timberland Bank service and regulatory guidelines.
Essential Job Functions:

  • Assist in preparing initial set-up of Construction files.
  • Establish funds are available and appropriate for disbursement.
  • Issue timely Voucher approvals to Teller line, process vouchers within 24hrs.
  • Generate updated construction budgets and guidance on voucher process to Borrowers upon request.
  • Maintain and reconcile monthly construction loan advances(including Interest Payments, Third party Inspections, Foundation Inspections, Draws, Holdback Account Monitoring)
  • Inspection ordering, depositing pre-collected funds, balancing GLs, tracking inspection payments, etc.
  • Assist Lenders/Borrowers in the analysis and interpretation of Construction budgets.
  • Prepare and update various departmental forms used in the Comml/Residential Construction Dept.
  • Cross trains & backs-up other dept tasks including other duties delegated by Management.

Education/Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent. 2yrs banking or related experience preferred.
  • Proven commitment to EXTRAORDINARY customer service delivery. Ability and desire to serve providing strong, friendly, empathetic, eager-to-please service to both internal and external customers.
  • Strong problem solving aptitudes with ability to assess customer needs and apply appropriate solutions in a fast paced environment.
  • Experience, understanding and proficiency with computer skills and bank systems including Microsoft WORD and EXCEL applications.
  • Data entry proficiency, correctness and experience.
  • Excellent math, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong ability to work effectively in a fast paced environment by phone, email and person-to-person.
  • Demonstrated organizational skills and ability to prioritize work and multi-task.
  • Proven attention to detail, accuracy and task follow-through.
  • Strong interpersonal skills including proven aptitude for integrating well with a strong team of individuals.
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative.
  • Professional demeanor and appearance.
