Job description
Enlist as a soldier into the United States Army and become a certified Construction Equipment Repairer who supervises and performs field level maintenance on construction equipment which includes that used for earthmoving, grading, and compaction; lifting and loading; quarrying and rock crushing; asphalt and concrete mixing, and surfacing; water pumping; air compression and pneumatic tools; and powered bridging. This is not a civilian contractor position.
No experience is necessary. The position is entry-level.
JOB DUTIES:
JOB DUTIES:
- Maintain and replace brake actuators, batteries, starter motors, mechanical fuel pumps, and hydraulic cylinders/pumps/control valves
- Service drive shafts, universal joints, service brake shoes, water pumps, and turbochargers
- Maintain and replace cylinder heads, high-pressure fuel injection pumps, and road wheels
- Adjust engine speed of governor/valves, carburetors, steering brakes, fuel injector racks, and steering unit brake levers
- Charge suspension accumulators, transmission shift accumulators, and main hydraulic accumulators
PAID TRAINING:
- 10 weeks of Basic Training.
- 8 weeks of Technical School with on-the-job instructions.

ORGANIZATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- No felonies (Defer Adjudication included).
- Current High School Senior, High school graduate, or GED equivalent.
