The Midwest Petroleum Equipment team is rapidly expanding and is seeking skilled installers*/laborer*s to join our construction and installation team as a licensed installer. MPE is a locally owned business and a leader in the petroleum equipment service and construction industry and is seeking candidates who want to work in a great team environment with professional growth opportunities.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in installing above- and underground petroleum tanks, piping, pumps, hoists, lifts and other petroleum and lubrication-related equipment
• Measure, layout, hang, thread pipe, solder/braze pipe and set mechanical equipment
• Operate various power tools, skid loaders, air compressors, forklifts, excavators and other related tools and equipment in performing described duties
• Be willing to travel to out-of-town job sites and work outdoors

Education, Experience and Qualifications:

• Minimum of 1 year experience in general construction, plumbing, mechanical or underground utility related field
• At least 1 year of experience with pipefitting preferred
• Be at least 21 years of age
• High school diploma or GED. Additional training and certification provided
• Valid and clean driver’s license
• Follow safety procedures diligently

Technical Requirements:

• Able to interpret blueprints, specifications, and other project documents
• Able to perform manual construction work and equipment operations

• Sound integrity and professional ethics
• Ability to build relationships with clients, subcontractors, vendors, and employees
• Ability to multitask, prioritize and complete projects on time

Hours:

• Full-time position, working 40 hours a week with overtime available if desired
• Standard work week schedule working Monday through Friday, all year long
• Opportunity to travel for overnight out-of-town projects if desired. Generous per diem, additional hourly wage available, paid hotel accommodations and paid drive time.
