Construction Laborer
Job description
As a General Laborer (AKA: Geohazard Mitigation Technician) working for GSI, there is no typical day and the scenery changes often. You will be working outside with your hands in a wide variety of climates. On one project you may be working on a slope installing a retaining wall and the next project you could be stabilizing a bridge. This is the perfect career for someone that does not want to work in a traditional setting like a warehouse or office. This is hard work. This is gritty work. It will be some of the best and most rewarding work you will ever do because you will have a hand in saving people’s lives.
Responsibilities
- Move materials on a construction site
- Mix, spray, run hoses, and operate shotcrete or grouting pumps
- Operate rock drills
- Operate construction equipment such as excavator, all terrain forklifts, man lifts, skid steers, and front end loaders
- Reading and determining measurements
- Maintain a clean and organized construction site
- Working together in a team environment
Work Environment:
Travelling in the continental US. Employees are expected to work a 3 weeks on, 1 week off schedule.
