Sunrise Engineering is currently initiating a search for a Construction Observer/Inspector to support our growing organization. This position is based in our Phoenix, Arizona office.

Your Impact

The Construction Observer/Inspector provides both strategic and operational support to service center managers throughout the organization.

  • Perform construction observation and oversight to document that construction of projects in done according to plan and specifications.
  • Keep daily journal of activities on the construction site.
  • Review and report any issues being observed while maintaining good records at the site.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable laws, rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.

Required Qualifications

Skills:

  • Able to work efficiently under tight deadlines, as well as balance multiple projects by prioritizing effectively.
  • Must be responsible and have demonstrated organizational and planning skills.
  • Approachable and good interacting with diverse groups of people
  • Analytical, problem solver, and strong attention to detail.
  • Able to communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to work with a team and independently with minimal supervision

Minimum Requirements:

  • Candidates must be knowledgeable and experienced in reading and understanding plans and specifications.
  • Successful candidates should have 5+ years of experience performing civil construction observation. Projects will be general civil infrastructure projects including land development, water and wastewater, pipelines, drainage and roadway infrastructure.
  • Must be proficient with MS Office Suite, specifically:
  • Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Valid Driver’s License
