The Opportunity: Southworth Development is seeking a passionate and process-oriented Construction Project Coordinator with the drive and experience to Coordinate project management activities, resources of our projects globally. The Construction Project Coordinator will possess strategic insight, as well as exceptional skills, creative thinking abilities and a process-driven approach to producing and facilitating communication and ensuring effective coordination of a variety of commercial construction projects between our Project Managers, subcontractors, and clients.

Construction Project Coordinator will serve as one of Southworth’s key team members and will be responsible for the full breadth of our project activities, requiring an entrepreneurial spirit, innovative approach, and a proven track-record of leadership and results.

The Construction Project Coordinator will assist and coordinate all activities related to residential product types, clubhouses, restaurants, marinas, commercial spaces, and infrastructure. This role participates in construction meetings, keep meeting minutes, project records, and administer the maintenance of records in the internal software programs, document development, construction contract development, project management, maintain documents, records weekly and assist project teams at multiple locations.

You’ll spend your days embedded with internal and external construction professionals, work to create a wholistic management process for each of Southworth’s unique projects.

Qualification Standards:

  • Associates degree required in Construction or related field

o Strong technological skills associated with construction management, MS Project, Builders Trend, MS Office.

· Good instincts, political acumen, social intelligence, and strong communication and collaboration skills

· Self-aware and growth-minded: open to feedback, reflection, and continuing education to gain productive insight into strengths and weaknesses

· Self-directed and proactive

Duties & Functions:

Strategy and Goal Setting

· Establish and monitor the foundations of which are Operating & Service Excellence (Deliver Extraordinary), Customer Satisfaction (Build Community), Innovation (Dare to Be Different), and Financial Performance (Play to Win).

Execution & Standards

  • Coding Invoices and submitting to Accounting for Payment and following up to confirm payment with Accounting & Vendor / Contractor.
  • Tracking the payment of vendors, subcontractors, and consultants.
  • Handle the exchange of submittals, RFIs and other key documents.
  • Producing basic reports and status updates.
  • Coordinate delivery and filing of drawings and construction documents.
  • Ensure Contractors and subcontractors have accurate documentation throughout the projects.
  • Coordinate project management activities and resources.
  • Liaise with procurement director on material deliveries and Bahamas customs protocols, assist with procurement management.
  • Act as the point of contact and communicate project status to all participants.
  • Work with the Project Manager to expedite information to the field and office.
  • Issue all appropriate legal paperwork (e.g. contracts and terms of agreement)
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, plans and reports.
  • Ensure standards and requirements are met through conducting quality assurance work closely with post turnover team with punch list and close out of projects.
