Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Project / Construction Manager to join our team!

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Perform the duties as the full-time, on-site Project / Construction Manager as the day-to-day liaison to the client, overseeing the activities of your team.
  • Effectively interface with the client and third parties.
  • Handle conflict effectively and show the ability to build trust with project sponsors and stakeholders,
  • Lead the overall financial management for projects, including developing performance targets and budgets and helping to develop key strategies, to meet and exceed targets.
  • Look for ways to maximize funding or generate funds for projects (grants, P3’s, etc.),
  • Drive performance by leading the definition and implementation of complex projects, managing multidisciplinary teams, and working to project timescales to ensure delivery standards meet client expectations,
  • Educate and influence colleagues about risk policies and governance processes to instill a culture of awareness and commitment to risk management and ensure compliance with organizational policies and codes of conduct,
  • Analyze and review recommendations and analysis from multiple sources to make informed, authoritative technical decisions to improve performance,
  • Direct, define and lead the development and continuous improvement of project-wide processes, systems, and policies, and contribute to wider organizational initiatives to improve performance,
  • Act as a technical expert for organizational projects, providing strategic advice and insight to senior leaders in the organization to support successful delivery and decision making in line with organizational strategies,
  • Determine that the work of the designer or contractor is performed in accordance with the contract, project plans, and specifications, and all other contract documents and amendments thereto to guard against defects and deficiencies,
  • Coordinating and managing people, materials, and equipment as well as compliance with the client's safety policies and conducting safety assessments as required by the client,
  • Mentor junior staff for career development

Required Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or another related field
  • Ten (10) years of experience in Project Management, Construction Management or Construction Contracting
  • Proficiency with estimating and bidding remediation projects
  • Requires a working knowledge of industry business practices and the negotiation of prime contracts.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications :

  • Project Management Professional (PMP)
  • Certified Construction Manager (CCM)
  • Resident Engineer acting as the Principle/Owner’s Representative in the management of Major Design or Construction Contracts
  • Experience managing alternative delivery projects

Salary Range:

$58.61 - $105.48
