Job description
The Construction Services Carpenter/Mason constructs, erects, installs, and repairs structures and fixtures of wood, plywood, and wallboard conforming to local building codes. Also smooths and finishes surfaces of poured concrete floors, walls, sidewalks, or curbs to specified textures by performing the following duties.
Project Performance
- Successfully works with co-workers to keep projects on time.
Procedures & Site Safety
- Continually works to follow Company procedures, safety requirements and work rules
- Properly records and reports all safety incidents; works with the Safety Coordinator to investigate incidents and implement corrective actions
Project Schedules & Quality
- Ensures that the quality of work in each area of the project meets the requirements of the project plan and Company quality standards
Construction Management
- Monitors the productivity, utilization, resource usage and contractual performance of all site personnel
- Assists the site lead person in maintaining supplies equipment and housekeeping.
Construction Documentation
- Help to ensure all inspection documentation has been completed accurately.
- Accurately records time cards and turns them in on a weekly basis.
Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
- Commercial Driver's License (CDL) class A or B
