CONSTRUCTION SUPERINTENDENT - CIVIL

Our client is a Evansville construction company seeking to hire a construction superintendent with civil experience, to include ash ponds, highway, and paving. This person will be be responsible for coordinating all of the site construction activities.

Construction Superintendent - Civil Requirements

• Minimum of 5+ years commercial field superintendent experience to include site development
• Proficient in reading and understanding construction documents (architectural, structural, mechanical, specifications, etc)
• Working knowledge with spreadsheets and electronic scheduling required
• Worked on projects from cradle to grave
• INDOT experience a plus

Construction Superintendent - Civil Responsibilities

• Coordinate and supervise all construction activities and staff.
• Set up and maintain an organized and clean job site, including the construction office/trailer.
• Direct all field personnel to achieve completion of the project on schedule, within budget, with quality workmanship that conforms to original and edited plans and specifications.
• Prepare and maintain construction schedule, identify, and solve problems that may impede schedule and/or costs.
• Order materials, manage lead times to maintain schedule, and schedule inspections as necessary throughout the process.
• Comply with the objectives of the OSHA Safety and Loss Control Program.
• Promote and ensure job site safety, encourage safe work practices, and rectify job site hazards immediately. Conduct weekly Tool Box Talks.
• Maintain weekly schedule meeting with vendors and subcontractors to project the upcoming three weeks’ expectations.
• Work Hours: Minimum 40 hours per week or as many hours as needed to successfully fulfill the requirements of the position.

Pay: $84,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year

• paving and / or concrete: 1 year (Preferred)
• INDOT: 2 years (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• Driver's License (Required)
