We are looking for an Equipment Yard Worker/Laborer to join our construction & equipment rental company in Yucaipa, CA. This position reports to the Yard Manager and will be a fast-paced and outdoor environment.

Classification: Non-Exempt (hourly)

Hours: Full-Time, M-F, 8 hr. shifts

JOB SUMMARY: Responsibility is to help support mechanics, change tires, clean shop area, pressure wash vehicles and heavy equipment, organize tools and supplies, and pick-up/order replacements parts as needed.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities:

• Cleaning and servicing of small air tools, small electric tools, and bulk rental items
• Driving company vehicle to construction sites as needed and picking up parts from CAT/John Deere and other vendors
• Cleaning warehouse and yard by sweeping shop floors, rearranging rental equipment or using a pressure washer to clean the yard
• Using a pressure washer on wash pad to clean all heavy equipment rentals (for ex: rollers, excavators, backhoes, skid-steers, skip-loaders, etc.)
• Assisting in the cleaning and maintenance of vehicles and heavy equipment
• Loading/unloading heavy equipment for mechanics and drivers
• Refueling of gasoline or diesel, oil, water levels for equipment, pressure washers and forklifts
• Follow all company Operational Procedures and QC Standards
• Perform any other duties as assigned by the Yard Manager or Lead Mechanic

Qualifications:

• Valid Driver’s License & clean driving record required
• Able to walk/stand for long periods of time
• Ability to lift heavy objects

• Required to pass a pre-employment drug test/physical/background check
