Compensation:

  • Based on this position and the requirements above we are offering a salary range of $90,000.00 - $100.000.00

The Consumer Packaged Goods Operations Manager is responsible for managing the day-to-day business including sales, operations, and overall presence of the consumer packaged goods portfolio. In their day-to-day work, this role acts as a coordinator between various specialist departments that support the consumer packaged goods portfolio including marketing, sales, product development, customer service, IT, HR, Legal, and Finance.

The Manager of Consumer Packaged Goods responsibilities include but are not limited to:


  • Manage the day-to-day operations of all consumer packaged goods in conjunction with Shared Services to execute and achieve targeted goals
  • Define business line objectives while managing both short-term and long-term strategies
  • Combine existing expertise in sales, technology, and management to develop a superior brand and shopping experience for customers
  • Manage the overall wholesale experience
  • Conduct general market research to keep abreast of trends and competitor's product development
  • Create and manage budgets and allocate resources amongst new products, launches, or initiatives
  • Oversee all resource and budgetary management for each project; including accurate record-keeping and financial reporting throughout each project phase
  • Manage all inventories by working directly with Finance to order and monitor
  • Manage the product remodeling process for all consumer packaged goods
  • Assess and audit current vendors

Competencies:

  • Solid understanding of contract and vendor relations
  • High level of expertise in consumer-packaged goods
  • Familiarity with supplier management, scope definition processes, and change order processes
  • An analytical mindset, combined with high-level interpersonal skills
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with a passion for creatively and collaboratively finding solutions
  • Advanced personal management techniques, including those that allow for the management of stress under constant change, competing interests, and tight deadlines
  • Adept at assessing risk, finding opportunities, and conveying both positive and negative information to key stakeholders when needed
  • A proactive communicator with a focus on delivering information to stakeholders when and how they need it, even if unwelcomed
  • Comfortable with change and unforeseen challenges, with a positive and thoughtful approach to managing through change

Expectations:

  • Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or equivalent work experience
  • 3-5 years of experience working directly with consumer packaged goods
  • Previous experience in a business or operations management role is an asset
  • Proficient with common project management tools and platforms, such as Trello, Asana, Workzone, and Hive
  • The Manager of Consumer Packaged Goods works remotely from a professional home office
  • Occasional travel will be required to meet with staff, partners, and stakeholders, and to participate in live events. The physical requirements of the position typically include sitting computer work
  • Must be able to work West Coast hours
