Summary of Role:
The Contract & Financial Analyst role provides essential functions to the Technology Business Management group, specifically supporting financial and contract management areas. The Contract & Financial Analyst will be responsible for providing financial insights, analysis and reporting to support key business decisions. The role will be the subject matter expert in all aspects of the sourcing approval process as an extension of contract oversight. The analyst must be detail-oriented, analytical, and possess excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Work Focus:
The contract and financial analyst will perform operational analytical tasks in managing services- technology spend, including budgeting, forecasting, and invoice reconciliation, contract renewals, purchasing, software license management, workflow processes, spend tracking, and due diligence. role specifies engineering build/ configure specifications.
Collaboration: Together with team members, the Contract and Financial Analyst enhances team interactions within the CTO team and within the Technology Department including being a contributor to future state roadmap.
Essential Job Functions/Responsibilities:
- Provide accurate and timely financial analysis and insights on a variety of financial business performance metrics for Technology,
- Support the annual budgeting process and ongoing business planning activities.
- Contribute to monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Support intake and processing of Technology contracts and purchases
- Timely maintenance of tracking and dashboard information to support internal customers,
- Execution of contract renewals with sufficient lead time for processing
- Facilitates negotiation of contract renewals and quotes with manufacturers and resellers
- Assist business owners with business justification and business case creation,
- Provide accurate and timely financial analysis and insights on a variety of business performance metrics,
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify budgetary drivers and trends, and provide recommendations to improve fiscal responsibility,
- Support the annual budgeting process and ongoing business planning activities.
- Contribute to monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
Minimum Job Qualifications:
Experience
- Minimum 2 years contract management or procurement experience
- 2 years of experience working with technology contracts is desired
Environment
- Worked in a midsize org (>1000 employees)
- 24/7/365 service availability
- Cloud and on-premise delivery
- Interface w/managed service providers
Education
- Bachelors degree in the field of accounting, business or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Other
- Strong organizational skills including ability to prioritize competing tasks
- Highly proficient in the Office365 suite, including Word, Excel, SharePoint, Forms and Teams
- Ability to effectively communicate
- Analytical Skills
- Business writing skills are essential to the success of the role
- Experience with publishing of dashboards and creation of status updates
- Ability to effectively collaborate with multiple groups to complete required tasks
- Ability to provide guidance and feedback on-demand
Starting Compensation: $65,990- $80,838, plus a competitive benefits package
