Controller
Atlanta, Georgia

Jones Networking is recruiting for a Controller to join a logistics and supply chain company in Atlanta, GA. The company offers a flexible / hybrid working schedule, great benefits, unlimited PTO and an amazing company culture.

Controller Responsibilities:
- Manage treasury, accounts payable, accounts receivable and general accounting
functions
- Serve as escalation point to problem solve/troubleshoot past due accounts
- Maintain the integrity of the companies’ financial statements, as well as support
management on business decisions
- Provide timely and accurate financial reporting and statements including income
statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements and other operational and
financial reporting
- Preparation of the annual operating budget and quarterly re-forecasts
- Lead accounting team on continued scalability with growing business
requirements, through implementation of best practices and improvement of
people, process, and systems
- Develop and enforce internal controls to maximize the protection of company
assets, policies, procedures, and workflow
- Assist in M&A diligence and integration processes as applicable
- Provide day-to-day interaction for banking, accounting, and tax relationships with
third parties
- Develop, mentor and coach the finance and accounting teams to create and
maintain a cohesive, business-focused organization

Controller Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting
- CPA certification preferred
- 10+ years of progressive management experience
- 4+ years of experience as a Controller
- Demonstrated capabilities in a smaller organization environment
- In-depth understanding of GAAP, financial accounting principles, and practices,
specifically as they apply to costing, capital expenditure, budgeting, and internal
reporting
- Ability to present and explain business and financial information in a way that
establishes rapport, persuades others, and gains understanding
- Ability to work autonomously and independently while meeting deadlines through
proper time-management
- Strong interpersonal communication skills to enable collaboration with team
members in accounting, as well as within business operations
- An advanced understanding of Microsoft Excel is required

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $130,000.00 - $160,000.00 per year
