Job Description


This position is responsible for maintaining and improving machine, robot, or measuring program, equipment prints and documentation. Duties and tasks are frequently non-routine. Resolves most questions and problems, and refers only the most complex issues to higher levels.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Resolves major programming problems. Recognizes and secures external expertise when required.
  • Debug and implement process improvements of assembly or manufacturing line controls.
  • Design and optimize automated equipment concepts.
  • Troubleshoot robotic to plc interface programming, modify if needed.
  • Maintain and modify vision systems.
  • Assists maintenance personnel with machine problems.
  • Conducts maintenance personnel training.
  • Maintains technical skills.
  • Completes special assignments.
  • Working knowledge, understand, and be capable of programming in PLC language, i.e. (LAD) ladder diagram, (CSF) control system flowchart, (STL) statement list

Qualifications


Two year degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science. Advanced knowledge of PLC programming typically associated with five years experience. Three to five years related experience and or training.
