Job description

This is an on-call position. 0-20 hours per week

Duties and Responsibilities:

Prepares soups, meats, poultry, fish, beverages, vegetables, sauces, salads, and desserts in bulk quantities. Determines portions and servings to patrons. Assists Supervisors in operational requirements of cafeteria. Maintains cleanliness of kitchen area and all equipment. Perform/Assist in all duties for catering. All other duties assigned.

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to lift and carry up to 45 pounds. Dexterity to operate office equipment as required by the position. Physical effort involving able average standing, sitting, walking or detail work. Occasional risk of injury due to hazards.

Special Knowledge and Skills:

Good organizational and planning skills Good Communication skills Ability to pay close attention to detail Ability to take direction Ability to work with computers Ability to work independently but follow specific detailed instructions Ability to interface with various levels of personnel in a multi-cultural, team- oriented environment.

Other Requirements:

Must be a U.S. Citizen in order to obtain required NASA badge. Must be able to provide a certified Birth Certificate (with state seal), Passport, or INSCitizenship documents on date of hire (candidate will be sent home if this paperworkis not provided upon arrival on date of hire). Must have the ability to communicate the English language, both verbally and written, in an effective manner. Must have, and maintain, a valid driver’s license.
