Pay Range: $17.00 - $20.00, depending on skills and experience!
Schedule: Friday - Tuesday, 10:30 am - 7:00 pm; No late nights!
What you will do
The Cook is an exciting opportunity for an energetic person who is seeking a career avenue in the food service industry.
In this position, you will:
- Prepare orders by cooking or preparing food items for each meal service; Food preparation may include hot and cold menu items and must be prepared using the standard recipes and departmental guidelines.
- Consistently demonstrate advanced high-volume culinary skills to include preparation techniques such as sauté, blanching, poaching, grilling, steaming, boiling, simmering, deep-frying, braising, roasting, and searing.
- Assist in serving food at each mealtime demonstrating positive interactions with the public and positive interpersonal relations.
- Positively engage with fellow employees, supervisors, and other department employees so that productivity and positive employee relations are maximized while ensuring consistent quality of guest services.
What you will need
- Food Handler's Permit (or must obtain within 14 days of hire).
- Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screen.
- Previous experience cooking with industrial cooking equipment.
- Restaurant and/or institutional foodservice, preferred.
