POSITION SUMMARY: Define business opportunities through market analysis and research functions. Support overall process of business development to ensure Sales maximizes its revenue potential by analyzing and identifying key markets and growth opportunities. Perform research activities for the department. This research includes tele-qualifying/verification calls. Provide support to sales team as needed.

LOCATION: Nashville, TN office. BMI has transitioned back to working in the office on a regular hybrid schedule. At present, most team members are expected in the office three (3) days a week. Decisions regarding future transitions will take place in phases as BMI continues to closely monitor COVID-19 as employee safety is our priority.

FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB
Essential Functions: which may be representative but not all inclusive of those commonly associated with this position.
  • Develop knowledge of assigned markets and assess potential revenue opportunities in partnership with Manager.
  • Assist with the planning, implementation, and reporting of lead projects as assigned by Management.
  • Monitor potential new business opportunities by identifying trends, researching industry and related events, publications, internet, and other various resources.
  • Recommend revenue growth opportunities to Sales Management.
  • Provide lead generation support as needed.
  • Conduct pro-active outbound calling efforts to various markets to identify licensable music.
  • Update internal systems with research found via telephone, internet, and internal systems.
  • Perform sales and administrative support tasks as needed.
  • Perform internal system maintenance as needed.
  • Perform license quality assurance tasks as needed.
  • Assist Inside and Chain Sales teams with matching and loading sales leads.

POSITION QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred.
Experience: Minimum two years’ experience in administrative work, marketing related work, procurement and/or retail experience.

Salary Range:

The specific base salary offered to a successful applicant will be based on individual qualifications, skills, experience and education. The pay range is subject to change at any time based on various internal and external factors. The position may also be eligible for one or more performance-based bonuses.
