Overview:
The Corporate Accounting Manager’s responsibilities include managing and overseeing the daily operations of the accounting department, accurate and timely preparation and analyses of financial statements of the company, leading the team, developing policies and procedures, implementing internal controls, cross-training team members and other accounting duties.
This is a hybrid position with the opportunity to be fully remote.
Responsibilities:
- Manage full cycle of Corporate accounting and lead the General Ledger accounting team
- Oversee month-end and year-end closing activities at Corporate, and present preliminary monthly financial data to stakeholders
- Responsible for analyzing monthly financial statements (Balance Sheet, P&L, and Cash Flow)
- Handle reporting of consolidated monthly financials and annual statutory submissions
- Review account reconciliations
- Compile Incurred Cost submission and manage DCAA queries
- Support Cash management and forecasting
- Assist monthly and year end close cycles at various sites
- Analyze accounting data and processes at sites for completeness, consistency and accuracy
- Support the review of financial data and reports at sites
- Liaison between external auditor and company; support auditing requirements
- Drive automation to improve efficiency and accuracy of processes
- Responsible for handling performance management and employee relations for direct reports
- Collaborate with FP&A team and provide support as appropriate
- Support financial, regulatory and tax filings and reporting
- Assist with review of minimum standards of financial controls at sites
- Perform special projects and ad-hoc requests as required
Minimum:
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related discipline
Minimum 5 years’ experience working in Public Accounting or Private industry
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and theories (USGAAP and/or IFRS)
Preferred:
Certified Public Accountant
Experience in the defense industry
ERP systems experience, preferably SAP and Oracle
Communicates effectively with peers, internal, and external customers
Works well in a fast paced environment
