The Product Manager will lead a team responsible for the pricing, underwriting, relationship management and marketing of New York Life’s Pension Risk Transfer (PRT) business.
Lead the expansion of New York Life’s presence in the Pension Risk Transfer market- Facilitate consultant relationships to optimize New York Life’s participation in the space
- Coordinate bids including oversight of Request for Proposal document flow and supporting documentation to pass 95-1 due diligence
- Lead due diligence meetings with Independent Fiduciaries and Independent Experts including the presentation of New York Life’s credit story
- Support the installation process of new sold cases
- Support the development of Retirement Income Products for the Institutional market
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure efficient handling of all requests
- Assist in overseeing compliance and risk management
- Provide leadership and management to more junior members of the team
- Serve as a contact for regulators and internal auditors
- Contribute to the team construct as needed; includes pricing strategy recommendations, analytics, reporting, etc.
Qualifications:
BS/BA Degree preferred- 8 plus years of relevant experience, including managing people
- Life and Heath license in all 50 states or willingness to acquire
- Client facing experience preferred
- Knowledge of Defined Benefit and/or Defined Contribution pension plans
- Supervisory/Managerial experience preferred
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task
- Strong ability to meet deadlines
- Detail oriented with strong analytical skills
- Proficiency in MS Office
- Strong written and verbal/interpersonal communication skills
- Good presentation skills
- Team oriented with a process improvement mindset

Salary range: $115,000-$175,000
Overtime eligible: Exempt
