Management and Training Corporation - MTC is hiring Correctional Officers - Starting pay for this position is $18.00/hr.

NO EXPERIENCE REQUIRED.

Position Title: Correctional Officer

Facility Name: Gregory S. Coleman Unit

Location: 1400 MLK Jr. Industrial Blvd., Lockhart, Texas

Work Schedule: Full-time; 12-hour shifts

You will receive comprehensive paid training to begin a meaningful career in corrections with the Gregory S. Coleman Unit located in Lockhart, Texas.

Education and Experience Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited senior high school or equivalent or GED.
• A valid driver license in the state of Texas with an acceptable driving record required.
• Be able to pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
• Continued employment is contingent upon passing exams and skill tests in the TDCJ Correctional Officer Pre-service Training Academy.

Job Summary

Responsible for the custody and care of inmates; maintaining order and discipline among inmates in compliance with Management & Training Corporation (MTC) and Texas Department of Criminal Justice (TDCJ) directives.

Post Hire Requirements:

Must successfully complete annual in-service training requirements to include physical agility testing and pass an annual background check, which must be approved by TDCJ.

Assigned shift schedule may include working nights and/or weekends.
