The schedule for this position could potentially be 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift with weekends. It is a part-time position
Job Purpose or Objective(s): You will prepare, season and coos food for consumption in the Clayton Country Market.
You will report to the Clayton Country Market GM
Primary Tasks:
You will provide food service that meets company standards for ingredient quantity, quality, safety and consistency.
You will maintain knowledge of all product offerings, ensuring fast and friendly service and delicious food.
You will prepare food items per menu and recipes mixing and measuring ingredients according to recipe, using variety of ingredients and kitchen tools, utensils and equipment
You will adjust the thermostat controls to regulate temperature of ovens, broilers, grills, roasters and steam kettles
You will clean and sanitize your work area and food preparation equipment; wash and dry dishes and other cooking utensils used in preparing food
You will store food in designated areas, utilize knowledge of time and temperature requirements and food spoilage; and document temperature readings
You will read food orders or receive verbal instructions as to food required by guests
You will serve meals to guests
You will comply with food and store safety programs and behaviors to minimize employee and guest injury and illness including hand washing, sanitation, food handling/storage and time and temperature controls.
You will receive products from venders following correct procedures, accurately documenting bad merchandise/write-offs per policy.
Required Education, Skills and Experience:
MINIMUM
High School Diploma or GED or a student actively pursuing a HS diploma
Acquire and maintain Food Handler’s certification
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Ability to be on feet 6 hours per shift
